So, it's been at least 6 months since I had a post...I think...ish...and since today is my favorite holiday of the whole year, it's high time for another one. It just so happens that SITS (who have amazing blogs of fellow women and great blogging tips) is giving away a Canon rebel today ;)
Halloween was always a little different for me. Living in Windthorst, we had to literally drive from house to house in order to trick or treat. There are no sidewalks and about a football field length between each house, minimum. But, the mother of one of our high school teachers would give her popcorn balls to give away, and oh my goodness they were amazing. They were a very well kept secret too. So we would finish up our trick or treating in Windy, and then head to Archer City (where our hs teacher lived) and trick or treat at her house just to get a popcorn ball. When her mother passed away, Mrs. Hubbard finally gave out her mother's popcorn ball recipe. Now anytime I think of Halloween, I cannot help but think of popcorn balls. Weird, I know. But it truly is a special memory for me.
On a side note, my mother always had the book Hallo-weiner in her classroom for her 4th graders to read around Halloween time. If you have never read it, be sure to hit the link and buy it. It's a super cute book. :)
Well, that's all I have for now. Have a happy Halloween ya'll!!!!
